Q: Matt, Are there truly any accidents in this world?
A: Nothing accidental is for real in this untrue world, but in the real world some accidents are wrecks.

Q: Matt, what can I do to rid myself of the negative limiting beliefs I’ve been carrying around for so long?
A: When you stop caring about your limiting beliefs you’ll stop carrying them. Focus on your limiting mental pictures instead. Laugh at your limiting beliefs and believe it or not, they will become disbeliefs.

You may not believe that studying Zero Resistance Living will do anything for you, but after you’ve taken the course, don’t be surprised if you catch yourself saying, “Wow! I can’t believe how much better I feel and how much better my life is.”

Matt,
I was skeptical if Zero Resistance Living would work for me. Why would i need it since i have read Psycho-Cybernetics? Im still encountering difficulties and challenges. But when i bought Zero Resistance Living, it was fresh air.
Dr Maxwell encouraged us to see negative feelings as opportunities to rise above them. Im glad i bought ZRL. Im at Disc 2 now and the concepts and explanations helped me realise how i can achieve success. Like practice without tension and pressure, which you have mentioned regularly in your emails.
Thank you, Matt, for ZRL.
Sincerely,
Brandon

Hey Matt,
I just read the foreword by you in the book Psycho-Cybernetics. There you mentioned to relive the moment when you won something big in life and feel that feeling again, my question to you is what you should do if there is no moment in your life where you felt like a winner. Thank you in advance for your answer.
Divyansh
Divyansh, my friend,
Good question. So glad you asked even though this interpretation is a grand misinterpretation. You’re not alone on this one. A lot of people have the wrong idea that your winning moments need to be big.
The real question is “When do you start feeling like a winner?”
In your case, it is the moment you slap the inner whiner to activate your inner winner. It is the moment you real-eyes that any win will do. It’s not about big or small. It’s about “when” you will decide to see any win as a big win.
I suggest you look in the mirror and stare at your eyes. Smile at the inner “whiner” you see who is blocking you from seeing your inner winner. Then, with a light touch, playfully slap your face a few times to turn the lights on in your brain. If you’re still standing after these slaps, you just won your first big fight. Keep in mind that this inner whiner may request a rematch – and each time it does so I suggest you gladly oblige. I guarantee you’ll win this fight every time.
This exercise is no joke, and it may make you laugh! That ain’t a bad thing, is it? Laughing is winning.

Misaffirmations are affirmations that miss the obvious. They are untrue statements written or recited with the highest of hopes that they will become reality if you repeat them long enough.
Truthful affirmations immediately free the self to create something more. After stating what is true for you now, you have a starting point, a launching pad to your goal.
Stating what isn’t true as if it is, takes away your launching pad, leaving you mired in the quagmire.

Q: Matt, are we 100% responsible for everything that happens to us in life?
A: You’re 100% responsible for paying your light bill, but you’re not the one who sent it. Knowing the difference will pay the difference.

Q: Matt, what do you think about the process of changing one’s limiting beliefs?
A: There’s no limit to limiting beliefs, so you’re better off picturing what was previously off-limits. Focus on a new mental picture of your goal – inject it with enthusiasm and those old limiting beliefs will become broken records.

Accurate Affirmations are visualized statements that help you embrace and rise above reality. When you’re not fighting with your mind over what is true – you have more energy to direct toward your goals.
Helpful examples:
• Although I am getting older, I still see myself as young and productive.
• I don’t know how much time I have left but I’m going to start now.
• The scale says I weigh X – and I’m doing something about that.
• I’m frustrated but I’m also determined to get good at this.
• The government doesn’t have my back, but I do.
Note: Words or affirmations alone change nothing. Picture what these words mean to you – and feel the impact.

Q: Matt, what do you think about using affirmations that begin with I AM and are stated in the positive, present and personal tenses?
A: When you insist on putting all three tenses into your affirmations, it will make you triple-tense. The secret is in being relaxed, not tense. For example, years ago, when I was in MIAMI, I recognized that I always used ‘I AM GOING TO…’ when I am going to eat there. And MY GOODNESS, I always got exactly what I ordered.
The funny thing is, I also noted that “I am going to” worked inside and outside of MIAMI. So I discarded the unnecessary tenses – and this relieved the unnecessary tension that was holding out on me.

Psycho-Cybernetics 365 – Let’s make it an international best-seller

“Upon leaving surgery I also make it a point to spend a couple of minutes in my quiet room, to clear the decks, so to speak, for a new type of action.” – Maxwell Maltz, M.D.
Before and after surgery, Dr. Maltz would clear the mechanism so he could go into his next activity without any emotional carryover or residue.
This might seem as though it is overkill, but when you are as busy as Dr. Maltz was, you’ll understand that this habit led to him being more productive as a writer and speaker.
The good doctor was up early in the morning doing surgeries, then he saw patients. In the evenings, he sat before his typewriter, spinning words into nonfiction books, novels, and plays.
These profoundly different activities require a different type of focus. Failure to reset the mechanism after each activity can lead to a feeling of not knowing how to get yourself started on the next task.
When you don’t clear the calculator (or monitor), it can take hours, and in some cases days, to get yourself going. Consider how long it can take you to recalibrate after a vacation.
Yes, there can be fatigue after a long trip, but these effects can be minimized and eliminated if you take the time to experiment, not only with entering the quiet room of your mind but also with clearing the screen, erasing yesterday’s scenes so you can get back to work today.
Shortly after getting up this morning, I stood in place for ten minutes and cleared my mind with deep breathing exercises. When finished, I made a list of my Daily Do’s. Then I got started on them.
Throughout the day, when I am moving from one activity to another, I keep in mind that a different type of energy and focus may be required. So I shift gears by clearing my mind of what I just finished and picturing what is next.
This process doesn’t take longer than a minute or two. And it’s as simple as pressing a button on the movie screen of your mind.
Are you willing to test the positive effects of clearing the screen of your mind before attempting to go from one type of task to another? The benefits are huge.
