Q: Matt, I’ve been doing my best to get rid of my ego. I’ve worked on it for many years and feel that I am not making any progress. Any suggestions?
A: Your question reminds me of the tell-a-vision commercial I grew up with for Lego waffles. The tagline was “Lego my Eggo.”
I mention this because you’ll be better off when you “leave go of your ego.” Pay no attention to this distraction from taking action.
To focus on how big or small your ego is, or to keep track of how much it expands or contracts, is a highly megotistical and narcissistic practice. After all, who but an megotist would give any thought to the size of his or her ego?
Focus on GO, GO, GO and you’ll lose all interest in the ego.
