There’s only one problem with problems: after you solve them, they come back.
The reason is simple. You only take action when you can see the problem, and once it’s out of sight, it’s out of mind.
When a problem is “out of mind,” you stop doing what you were doing when you solved it. This leads to the rebound or yo-yo effect. And after a while, too much time with the yo-yo makes you feel like Bozo.
Goal Getting takes you outside the realm of problem solving. You go for what you want instead of putting energy into what you don’t want.
