Is Good Luck Real?

Q: Dear Matt,

Do you believe in good luck? And if not, why not?

A: I often wear a necklace and at other times I double-up by donning a gemstone bracelet. Sometimes it’s tiger-eye, sometimes jade, sometimes carnelian. Do I wear them because I believe in good luck?

No. I wear them because they work whether I believe they do or not.
