If you’ve heard that the only way to become successful is to get up early in the morning and immediately get to work, “eating that frog,” but this idea doesn’t work for you – you’re going to love this message.
In my view, night owls eat prime rib while robins and sparrows are content with bugs, worms, suet, and seeds.
Owls are wise, successful, and mysterious birds. The same can also be said about human beings who are up late at night – studying, practicing, and working on bettering their previous best.
Assuming that you don’t live above bars that are open all night, the late evening and early morning hours contain an abundance of ideal quiet time you can use to enhance skills, acquire knowledge, and get projects launched.
Most people go to bed early, and assume that this is how everyone else should live. If going to bed early and getting up early works for these people, then I’ll be the first to say, “Keep doing it.”
But if you suspect that you’re an outlier, then stop lying to yourself and test going to bed later, albeit not to watch tell-a-vision or scroll through social media.
Enjoy the silence and goal-getting time designed for the wise owls. Read, study, practice, pray, and create during those late night hours and watch your productivity soar.
When you allow yourself to be different in a world of sameness, you may be surprised to discover numerous non-bedside benefits – one of which is that you need less sleep instead of more.
Want to add additional get up ‘n go to your life?
Then stay up later and create more.
Night owls feast upon early birds.
