What Abraham Lincoln Knew About SuccessDear Friend,
I've been reading a fair amount of American History as of late, and one of the really astonishing things I have found is that the further back I go, the more in tune I find these old-timers are with the message we are trying to get across today.
Abraham Lincoln said, "Always bear in mind that your own RESOLUTION TO SUCCEED is more important than any other one thing."
Old Abe left us in 1865, a little south of 100 years before Dr. Maltz wrote Psycho-Cybernetics. Keep in mind that Lincoln had a dozen major failures before becoming President.
If you want some inspiration, and are pressed for time, take 4 minutes and Google the Gettysburg Address. This is probably the greatest speech in American history ... and the shortest.
It doesn't take forever to make a point.
As long as we are jumping back in history, let's take a big leap back to the 1500's.
Michaelangelo, the great Italian sculptor and painter said, "To have faith in oneself and become something of worth and value is the best course."
You must become a believer in the God-like creative power residing within you. When you understand that all of us have this same power your life begins to change. Yes, we can direct or creative mechanism - our Servo- Mechanism, or we can let it gather weeds through neglect.
If Lincoln had lost his beliefs he would not have become one of the greatest Americans of all time. If Michaelangelo listened to his critics there would be no Pieta, no Sistine Chapel.
We are all programmed for great things. Just open the door and step out into the omnipresent breeze of achievement and prosperity. Dr. Maltz will show you how.
